Knight Consult

Private Sector

For private sector clients Manuel Knight serves property developers and hotel companies on due diligence assignments and property valuations and also advises financial institutions backing such commercial investment through project finance. He has prepared feasibility studies for hotel projects as large as 2,000 rooms [Marriott Marquis at NY Times Square, John Portman architect] and jungle lodges and country inns as small as 15 rooms. He has lead teams of experts for master plans and action plans for entire destinations with fully serviced, dedicated hotel zones. He has prepared expert testimony for litigation involving hotels, resorts and casino operations. Regarding airport infrastructure, he has evaluated projects as major as Osaka's unique Kansai International Airport the world's most costly such facility per square meter.

Given his intimate familiarity with major world hubs like New York, Paris, Cairo and Tokyo, with commercial real estate trends in many world markets and with global travel patterns, he can critique feasibility studies and property appraisals with perception and complete objectivity. He can quickly assess 20-year hotel cash flow statements and the multi-segment market analyses that underpin the essential financial parameters for hotel projects.
